Luke Richards reports from his recent victory at the CRCRC April Fools Race… This past weekend I attended the CRCRC April Fool’s Race. I raced 2wd Modified Buggy and 2wd Modified Short Course. After qualifying was complete, I was the overall TQ in 2wd Modified Buggy and 3rd in 2wd Modified Short Course. In 2wd Modified Buggy, I lined up on the pole and was ready for a close race between myself and JP. I lead the first half of the race but with a mistake on my end JP took the lead and held it until the last lap where he made a small mistake and I got around him for the top spot and the win!
2wd Modified Buggy Top 3 Overall:

In 2wd Modified Short Course I was lined up 3rd and ready to go when the tone went off. It was a close first half of the race between the top three. With about 3 minutes to go JP made a small mistake and I passed him for second with my sights set on Dustin for the top spot. With about 2 min. to go I got around Dustin for the lead, and I lead the rest of the race and crossed the line for the win!
