150 drivers attended the 2013 National Championships held Sunshine Victoria. The elite of Australia’s drivers were in attendance with all the major factories ensuring their Team Drivers were in attendance for such a prestigous event. The event was to held over 4 days with 2 rounds of practice, 6 x 10min qualifiers and Christmas tree finals finishing with a 1 hour A-Main. Thursday – We arrived at the track early Thursday morning for 2 rounds and 1 round of qualifying. It was very cold day and the wind was already quite strong. For this event the organisers had seeded the fast drivers in the first heat, Aaron was in the first heat of the round and by the time we hit the track the wind was gusting to over 100k’s an hour. This had a huge effect on the cars and it was a case of survival rather than any serious set up considerations.
