After blasting onto the Offroad scene the unrivaled IBR Padova indoor racetrack / Offroaders’ mecca has rightfully enjoyed it’s share in the limelight, most recently in the form of the Italian Job Race indoor held in January. Today owner & operator Nicola posted on the track’s Facebook page that they would be revamping the layout in the near future – the current layout being one of Joey Christensen of The Dirt’s creations from last year’s Italian Nitro Challenge.
We caught up with Nicola who explained that multiple 1/8 Worlds finalist Marco Grandesso would be altering the rear section of the track (behind the bridge) in August of this year in time for IBR’s special first round of the 5000 Euro jackpot ‘Champions League event’ in November.
Fast to August 2014 and former Italian Pro soccer player Diego Fuser of Dirt Race RC (first home of the Italian Job Race) will be taking charge of the whole track for a brand new layout. Nicola told us, “‘I am excited to welcome some fresh track builders to IBR, giving them the chance to show their abilities at a world class facility with international racers arriving each week – the current layout has proved a hit with drivers but we want to continually improve the experience at IBR.“
