With clothes finally dried off after the splashdown ending of the ASIA Contest by BittyDesign in Pattaya, Thailand we focus our attention on the other big news of the event – the unveiling of the BittyDesign Stealth wing which will be available in early June this year we’re told.
The wing itself is the product of many months of careful testing, design and prototypes – we were fortunate enough to see the first ever prototype back at last year’s Euros and it looks better than ever in person! We caught up with Bitty’s main man Davide Rabitti who explained some of the misgivings drivers have ‘that bolting a wing on fixes the car’ – rather the wing along with the supplied wickerbill / gurney flap is a tuning aid very much dependent on a driver’s personal feel of the car and the track layout.
The wing however is designed to be universal and without claims of outrageous downforce improvements – it is a tuned balance and looks the bees knees.. Vertical stability vanes helps to keep the rear of the car planted in high speed corners, the wing comes complete with decal sheet, screws and spacers for clips or screws regardless of the model of the car. As mentioned the wing should be available in early June in white, black and fluorescent yellow versions.
