One of the biggest names in 1/8 buggy today, Elliott Boots is set to make the switch to use VP Powermaster fuel, having trialled it during his recent time spent in the US racing. VP Racing Fuels is considered a world leader in performance fuel technology, founded in the 1970s and with a fullsize racing pedigree that stretches from automotive racing, motocross, rallying, ATVs, karts not to mention their own branded gas stations.
As part of launching the VP Powermaster brand in the UK & Europe, VP have selected to sponsor a driver who can call himself ‘the fastest man in the world’ – 2012 World Championship top qualifier Elliott Boots – a driver that has commanded more and more column inches over the past couple of years.
During test sessions back home Elliott praised the runtime improvement – known for his crowd pleasing ‘on power’ driving style Elliott has many fans the world over – the tie up with VP Powermaster is sure to ignite significant interest in the fuel as it debuts in the European market.
NeoBuggy caught up with Elliott who wanted to thank VP Racing Fuels for the opportunity to be part of and represent a company of such size and racing heritage, emphasising it will be a real privilege to race for them this season as he looks to defend his national championship, he went on to thank Chris Dent of Adrenaline Models – central to the deal and VP’s presence in the UK. Elliott has wasted no time in debuting the new fuel as he will race in the Bunny Boiler Cup this weekend near Preston, UK.
